Set up a self-managed super fund (SMSF) account

Updated over 2 weeks ago

At Swyftx, we offer SMSF accounts, which we also refer to as entity accounts. Entity accounts include trusts, companies, and self-managed super funds (SMSFs).

To create an entity account, you must be logged in to your personal account and complete at least Gold level verification (KYC 1), including ID authentication.

This information is specifically for SMSF accounts. Find out how to set up a trust account or company account.

Before you begin

  • To create a self-managed super fund (SMSF) entity account, you must already have a personal Swyftx account and have completed Gold level verification (KYC 1), including ID verification.

  • All members of the SMSF must also have personal Swyftx accounts and have completed Gold level verification (KYC 1), including ID authentication. When you add these individuals, we will automatically invite them to Swyftx if they don't already have an accountant.

  • Individuals will receive an invitation to join the entity once the application is submitted.

  • As part of your application, we will require the signed and dated SMSF Trust Deed. We do not need the SMSF Trust Deed to be certified. If a company (Pty Ltd) was set up to act as a corporate trustee, we require the Company Extract from ASIC.
