Set up a trust account

Updated over 2 weeks ago

At Swyftx, we offer trust accounts, which we also refer to as entity accounts. Entity accounts include trusts, companies, and self-managed super funds (SMSFs).

To create an entity account, you must be logged in to your personal account and have completed at least Gold level verification (KYC 1), including ID authentication.

This information is specifically for trust accounts. Find out how to set up a company account or SMSF account.

Before you begin

  • To create a trust entity account, you must already have a personal Swyftx account and have completed Gold level verification (KYC 1), including ID authentication.

  • All trustees or directors of the corporate trustee and named beneficiaries over the age of 18 must also have personal Swyftx accounts and have completed Gold level verification (KYC 1), including ID authentication.

  • Individuals will receive an invitation to join the entity once the application is submitted.

  • We will require a signed, dated, and certified Trust Deed that has been certified within the last 12 months. This can be certified by an accountant, a Justice of the Peace, a police officer, a pharmacist, or a legal practitioner.

  • If a company (Pty Ltd) was set up to act as a corporate trustee, we require the Full Company ASIC extract or ASIC certificate of registration – one per company, from ASIC or NZ Register.
