Transferring crypto from a personal account to an entity account on Swyftx

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Transferring crypto from a personal account to an entity account on Swyftx is quick and straightforward. However, as with any crypto transaction, it's important to always double-check the deposit address and ensure you select the correct network before transferring.

We may not be able to recover crypto sent to Swyftx using incorrect details.

Transfers between personal and self-managed super fund (SMSF) accounts are not permitted, as this would breach several SMSF regulations. Please consult with a tax professional before moving funds between accounts.

Before you begin

  • This article is specifically for transferring crypto only. We are unable to facilitate fiat transfers (AUD, NZD, and USD) between Swyftx accounts.

  • Consult with a registered accountant in your country to ensure you understand any potential tax implications of transferring cryptocurrency from a personal account to an entity account.

  • Always double-check the deposit address and ensure you select the correct network before transferring. We recommend sending a small test transaction before sending larger amounts of crypto to ensure your details are entirely correct.

  • Some networks require a memo or destination tag to be provided along with the address for the transaction to be successful. We may not be able to recover crypto sent to Swyftx using incorrect details.

Selecting the wrong network when transferring your crypto will result in funds not arriving at the receiving address.

We recommend you read our Learn article, which explains networks and how they operate, Withdrawing and Depositing Crypto on Blockchain Networks.

    • Web: Select your circled initial in the top right corner of your dashboard.

  2. Select Switch account from the top of the menu.

  3. From here, follow the step-by-step instructions for adding a crypto wallet address in our support article, Add or remove a crypto wallet address.

Step 3. Complete the crypto withdrawal process from within your personal account

To complete the process, follow the step-by-step instructions for how to withdraw crypto from Swyftx, detailed in our support article, Withdraw crypto from Swyftx.

Always double-check addresses before sending crypto. We may not be able to recover assets sent to the wrong address.

Some networks require a memo or destination tag in addition to the address for a successful deposit. The need for a memo or destination tag changes based on the asset and network you're using.
