You can deposit New Zealand dollars into your Swyftx account by bank transfer or card.

Wise (formerly Transferwise) does not support transfers to cryptocurrency exchanges, and we do not accept deposits via PayPal.

Bank transfers

Usually within a few hours but may take up to 1-3 days.

Card using Banxa

30-45 minutes.

Card using Stripe

Near instant, subject to your bank’s internal checks.


Deposit limits

Bank transfer

Min: No minimum.

Max: No maximum.

Card using Banxa

Min: $30 NZD minimum deposit.

Max: $24,300 NZD per transaction, $60,000 NZD per month.

Card using Stripe

$30 NZD per transaction minimum deposit.

$15,000 NZD per transaction maximum deposit.

$15,000 NZD per rolling seven-day maximum deposit.


Deposit fees

For any deposit method, your financial institution may also charge a fee.

Bank transfer

Card using Banxa

Swyftx does not charge any fees for NZD card deposits.

However, Banxa, our third-party payment provider, currently charges a 1.99% fee and up to a 4% spread.

Card using Stripe

Swyftx does not charge any fees for NZD card deposits. However, Stripe charges a 2.734% fee per transaction.


Verification and security

All New Zealand customers must complete KYC 1 verification before depositing NZD.

For card deposits using Banxa, they will ask you to verify your identity when you make your first deposit.

We may ask you to complete further verification after depositing.


How to view all deposits

To check your total deposits, navigate to the Dashboard and scroll down to the Portfolio value chart. Here, you will find the number of orders placed, as well as the total traded, deposited, and withdrawn.

For a more detailed list, go to Transactions and use the filter 'Type: Deposit'.
