Making a deposit to your Swyftx account by bank transfer is a secure and simple way to add New Zealand dollars (NZD).
Deposits must come from a bank account registered under the same name as your Swyftx account. We accept deposits from joint accounts as long as your name is listed on the account.
A unique single-use deposit reference code is required for each NZD bank transfer deposit. If you reuse a deposit reference code, or you do not enter a reference code, please contact support.
For information on how to deposit via card, please visit our support article, New Zealand dollar card deposits using Banxa.

Deposit delays
Your first bank transfer can take up to 24 business hours to arrive in your Swyftx account due to banks' security measures.
Additionally, some banks now impose a 24-hour hold on deposits to crypto trading platforms. This is the banks' internal procedure, regardless of whether you've deposited into Swyftx before.
If your deposit is delayed:
Check the deposit in your online banking. If it's showing as 'Pending', it is still with your bank.
Ensure the unique code was entered correctly in one of the reference fields.
Ensure the code is for this specific transfer and not a previous deposit.
Call your bank to enquire about the delay.
If the code is incorrect or missing, please contact our support team.
