Crypto wallet verification screenshot guide

When you withdraw crypto from Swyftx, you may be asked to verify the withdrawal destination, which involves providing screenshots of the receiving wallet.

Why do I need to do this?

Providing the correct screenshots for wallet verifications speeds up the process and helps ensure your funds are being withdrawn safely and correctly.

This process is purely for the safety and successful completion of your crypto withdrawal. Cryptocurrency withdrawals are irreversible, and unfortunately crypto is the target for many scams. Read more at Spotting scams.

How to take a screenshot or screen recording on Android

Ensure all relevant information is included in a single screenshot. Two separate screenshots cannot be accepted.

If your Android device supports the split screen feature, we encourage you to use this as a display format when taking a screenshot.

Press the Power and volume down buttons simultaneously to take a screenshot.

If that doesn't work, press and hold the Power button for a few seconds. Then tap Screenshot.

Screen recording

Swipe down from the top of your screen.
Tap Screen record. You might need to swipe right to find it.
If it's not there, tap Edit and drag Screen record to your Quick Settings.
Choose what you want to record and tap Start. The recording begins after the countdown.
- You can choose to record audio and show touches on the screen before you start.
To stop recording, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the Screen recorder notification.

How to take a screenshot or screen recording on iOS (Apple)

Ensure all relevant information is included in a single screenshot. Two separate screenshots cannot be accepted.

iPhones with Face ID: Simultaneously press and then release the side button and volume down button.

iPhones with a Home button: Simultaneously press and then release the Home button and side button.

Then, tap the screenshot in the lower-left corner and tap Done.

Choose Save to Photos. You can view your screenshot in the Screenshots album in the Photos app, or in the All Photos album if iCloud Photos is turned on in Settings.

Screen recording

Go to Settings > Control Center
Tap the icon next to Screen Recording.
Open Control Center, tap the icon, and wait for the three-second countdown.
iPhones with Face ID: Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen.
iPhones with a Home button: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.
To stop recording, open Control Center, tap the icon or the red status bar at the top of the screen and tap Stop.
Go to Photos to view your screen recording.

How to take a screenshot or screen recording on a desktop (Mac and Windows)

The entire screen, including the task bar at the bottom and any tabs open on your browser, must be included in the screenshot.

Windows users
Press your keyboard's PrtScn (Print Screen) key to capture the entire screen. To capture just the active window, press Alt + PrtScn. The screenshot will save to your clipboard.

Mac users
Press Command + Shift + 3 to capture the entire screen. To capture a specific area, press Command + Shift + 4, then drag to select the area you want to capture. The screenshot will save as a file on your desktop.

Screen recording

To capture a screen recording on a desktop, you'll have to use a browser extension or an application that is specific to your device. Please refer to your manufacturer's instructions.
