We're required to periodically check that your details on Swyftx, including your name, date of birth, and residential address, are up to date.
When we need you to confirm your details on the Swyftx platform, a notification will appear on your dashboard on both the app and web platform. The notification will also include how many days you have to complete this.
If your details have changed and you have not yet updated them on the Swyftx platform, you may be required to verify your identification to ensure your new details match.
If those details have changed but you are not being prompted to update them on the Swyftx platform, please reach out to our customer support team to change them.
How to confirm your details
If your mobile number is unverified, or you can’t receive SMS messages, go to What if I can't receive the SMS one-time passcode?
- Select Confirm your details from the prompt on your dashboard on the app or web platform.
- Enter your date of birth and then review the information you previously provided. If your details have changed, select the edit icon next to the information you want to update.
- Review your details again, tick the checkbox, and select Confirm details.
- For security purposes, you'll have to complete an SMS one-time passcode (OTP) on your mobile.
- You may be required to complete additional verification if your details have changed.
If more information is required or you submit documents for review to support a change in your details, your submission status will be visible on your dashboard.
Timeframes and restrictions
You'll have 90 days from the initial notification to confirm your details. You'll find how long you have remaining to confirm your details on your Dashboard.
If you do not confirm your details within the listed time, trading and crypto withdrawals will be paused. Confirming your details at any time after this date may enable us to remove these limits from your account.
If you are a member of an entity account (company, trust, or SMSF), and the details on your personal account require updating, your entity account functionality will also be restricted if you don't confirm your details. This will only impact entity members with outstanding personal account detail confirmation requests.
What if I can't receive the SMS one-time passcode?
If you are overseas or out of cellular reception and cannot receive the SMS one-time passcode (OTP), you may not be able to confirm your details. In this case, you may have to:
- Change the registered mobile number on your Swyftx account to a local number
- Confirm your details with the new number
- Change your registered mobile number back and confirm your details again when you return
