We understand that dealing with the loss of a loved one can be difficult. We want to make the process of returning your loved one's assets as simple as possible.
Although anyone can tell us that an account holder has passed away, we can only provide account information to authorised individuals.
These include a solicitor, executors, next of kin, or beneficiaries where they are deemed by the court or us as responsible for administering the assets of the estate.
We are required to obtain specific documentation to verify that any assets are returned to the authorised individual or party.
Before you begin
To help make this process as smooth as possible, please prepare the required documents before reaching out to us. Beneficiaries or relatives must provide 100 points of identification, which may include certified copies of a combination of the following:
- Driver’s license
- Passport
- Birth certificate
- Australian visa
- Government-issued photo identification
If the authorised individual has a verified Swyftx account, we may be able to use our internal verification procedures to complete the verification process.
We will also require documents verifying the original account holder's passing, such as:
- A certified copy of the death certificate
- A certified copy of the will
- Power of Attorney (in some cases)
- Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration (in some cases)
It's okay if you do not have everything on these lists; please submit as much documentation as you can.
We must also gather information about the account holder to help us locate their Swyftx account, such as their full name, date of birth, and mobile number.
Once you have the relevant documentation listed, the next step will be to contact us.
How to submit a claim
Let us know that your loved one has passed away so we can confirm whether they hold a Swyftx account. You can contact us by sending us a message via live chat or email us at estates@swyftx.com.
From there, we will gather the required documents and information from you.
After the claim is submitted
Once the required documents and information are provided, we will be back in touch within five business days.
We will contact you via email if we need any further information during this process, but please don't hesitate to reach out in the meantime if you have any other questions.
The asset distribution will depend on what is written in the will and will be discussed with the authorised party once the process is underway.
