Set up a company account

At Swyftx, we offer company accounts, which we also refer to as entity accounts. Entity accounts include trusts, companies, and self-managed super funds (SMSFs).

To create an entity account, you must be logged in to your personal account and complete at least Gold level verification (KYC 1), including ID authentication.

This information is specifically for company accounts. Find out how to set up a trust account or SMSF account.

Before you begin

  • To create a company entity account, you must create a personal Swyftx account and complete Gold level verification (KYC 1).
  • All directors and major shareholders (greater than 25% shareholdings) of the company must have personal Swyftx accounts and have completed Silver Verification.
  • Individuals will receive an invite to join the entity once the application is submitted.

 


How to create an entity account

  • Web

    Step 1: Begin and complete your profile

    1. Select Create entity account in the top menu bar.

    2. Alternatively, select your circled initial in the corner of the top menu bar. Then, under Switch account in the dropdown, select Create entity/SMSF account.
    3. Select I understand, Continue, then Continue to start your application.



    Step 2: Complete the Entity application form

    If you selected Through a company, trust or SMSF when creating your account, this will appear as Step 3 on your Dashboard.

    1. Under Let’s start with the basics, select Company, then select Next.
    2. Tell us about your company. Complete each field, then select Next.
    3. Add company directors. We will require their first and last names, email addresses, and phone numbers, and let us know if they are also shareholders (if they own 25% or more in shares).
    4. Add company shareholders. There are two different forms depending on whether any shares are held by a company (Pty Ltd).
    5. Upload your documents. We require the Company Extract of the business applying for the entity account from ASIC or the NZ Register. If any shares are held by a company (Pty Ltd), we require the Company Extract from ASIC for every company added as a shareholder. All documents must be dated within the last three months.
    6. Once you upload your documents, select Next.



    Step 3: What happens next

    1. Our team will review your entity application as soon as possible and let you know if we need more information.
    2. All included individuals will receive an invitation to join the entity and will only have 14 days to join.
    3. You can check the status of your application on your dashboard new.svg Dashboard.
    4. Finally, you will receive a confirmation email and be able to access your new entity account.

    Step 1: Begin and complete your profile

    1. Select the three lines three lines burger menu.svg in the top left corner and expand the side menu.
    2. Select Create entity account from the app side menu, then select Start application.
    3. If you have not completed your KYC 1 verification (Gold), you’ll be required to do so before continuing.



    Step 2: Complete the Entity application form

    If you selected Through a company, trust or SMSF when creating your account, this will appear as Step 3 on your Dashboard.

    1. Under Let’s start with the basics, select Company, then select Next.
    2. Tell us about your company. Complete each field, then select Next.

Accessing your entity account

  • App

    1. Select the three lines three lines burger menu.svg in the top left corner to expand the side menu.
    2. Select Switch account from the top of the menu.
  • Web

    1. Select your circled initial in the top right corner of the dashboard.
    2. Select the account you wish to switch to from the drop-down menu.
